14 LESSONS FROM STEPHEN KENDRICK’S FIREPROOF

Hi everyone, welcome back to Palacedaughter. Today, I am doing a repost, which is about a popular movie titled Fireproof by Stephen Kendrick. I hope this few lessons help improve your relationship. Below are few lessons:

  • Communication is important in Marriage: Learn to express yourself, speak to your partner about what you like, dislike and need.
  • A man needs respect: A man needs respect, he can get every other thing from anywhere, but he needs respect from his wife. He can condone disrespect from any other woman, but not from his wife.
  • Avoid the use of vulgar language: Do not use negative language in communicating, it hurts. Words like stupid, mad, idiot among others should be avoided.
  • Avoid third party because they cause a lot of problem. Most of them have bad intentions, watch out for them.

  • Understand your husband or wife’s need: Make effort to satisfy your husband or wife’s need.
  • Make Christ the centre of your Marriage: Any marriage without Christ is in crisis.
  • Nobody is ever happy being divorced, deep within them they wished it never happened.
  • Don’t make your husband or wife feel insecure because you are getting too close to the opposite sex who is either a colleague in the office, a church member, unit member or even a neighbor. Even when there is nothing happening between both of you, you are communicating the wrong message which can lead to trust issues in marriage.
  • FIREPROOF does not mean fire will not come, but you will be able to withstand or overcome it.
  • A woman needs Love: It is difficult to demonstrate love when you are not motivated to do it. Love is not based on feeling but action. Do one unexpected gesture as an act of kindness for your spouse today.
  • Whatever you put your energy, time into will be more important to you, it is hard and difficult to care for something you are not investing in, buy something for your spouse today.
  • Watch out for parasites, they are inform of drugs, pornography, gambling, you have to destroy any addiction, if you don’t it will destroy you.
  • Never leave your partner in the fire, love is accepting someone unconditionally.
  • You must see Marriage as a covenant and not contract Gen 2:24. It was established by God. It was made to last. Love is not a place to come and go as we please.Thank for reading. Kindly share and have a great weekend.
